Our Mission

MDW Press is a woman- and Black-owned publishing imprint in the dark and speculative fantasy romance genre. Our purpose for our nook of the literary world is to cultivate an inclusive environment and bring more diversity to our favorite tropes and classics. Each publication will feature morally complex worlds, fierce heroines, heartthrob romances, lessons learned the hard way, and love interests in need of a little TLC. Swoon over words and worlds with us and take part in our mission to ensure that, regardless of race, background, ability, or disability, everyone can imagine themselves in our worlds and alongside our characters.
